Bananabox ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Bananabox (the "App").
When you use our AI features (Face Enhancer, Cartoon & Anime, Background Remover, Image Upscaler, Action Figure, 3D Avatar), the photo you select is transmitted to Replicate Inc. (replicate.com), our third-party AI processing partner, over an encrypted HTTPS connection.
What we send: Only the photo you actively select for transformation. We do not send any personal information, metadata, contacts, location, or device identifiers.
Purpose: The photo is used solely to perform the AI transformation you requested (such as converting to anime style, enhancing faces, or removing the background).
Retention: Replicate processes photos in real-time and automatically deletes them from their servers after the prediction completes. Neither Bananabox nor Replicate stores your photos permanently.
User consent: Before any photo is sent to Replicate for AI processing, the user is presented with an in-app consent screen explaining what data is shared, where it is sent, and how long it is retained. Users must explicitly tap "I Agree & Continue" before any photo is transmitted. Users who decline can still use our free offline tools (filters, adjustments, text on photo).
Replicate's privacy practices: Replicate Inc. is an established AI infrastructure provider headquartered in the United States. Their privacy policy can be reviewed at replicate.com/privacy. They are contractually bound to process data only for the purpose of fulfilling the AI prediction request.
If you subscribe to Bananabox Pro, your payment is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details, credit card numbers, or billing information.
We may collect basic, non-identifying device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for the purpose of improving app performance and fixing bugs. This information cannot be used to identify you personally.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. All data transmitted between the App and our processing services is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS encryption. Photos processed through our AI features are transmitted securely and are not retained after processing is complete.
Our App is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
We do not permanently store your photos or personal data. Photos uploaded for AI processing are temporarily transmitted to processing servers and automatically deleted after the transformation is complete. App preferences (such as subscription status and usage count) are stored locally on your device only.

Bananabox is an AI-powered photo editing application. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
The App offers certain features for free, including basic photo filters, adjustment tools, and a limited number of AI transformations.
The App, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by Bananabox and is protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the original photos you upload to the App. By using the App, you grant us a temporary, non-exclusive license to process your photos solely for the purpose of providing the AI transformation services.
Content generated by our AI tools is provided "as is." While we strive to produce high-quality results, we cannot guarantee that AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or suitable for any particular purpose. You are solely responsible for how you use AI-generated content from the App.
THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES REGARDING THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF AI-GENERATED RESULTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BANANABOX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bananabox and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
